Protect Queer Spaces

When I arrived in London I was given a tour of the Camden Borough where I was shown a closed down queer pub by the name of “The Black Cap”. It opened its doors in 1751 and became a know for it’s gay clientele in 1965. One of it's most famous was comedian/female impersonator Mrs Shufflewick. In April 2015, the property owners closed the bar in hopes of cashing in on the gentrifying area. Many Protests have ensued since in fears of designer stores taking over yet another queer space.
